What life-altering things should every human ideally get to experience at least once in their lives?

I have no idea. I’m still waiting. Always waiting. Is there such a thing at all?

What do you think? Can you think of anything? Has any life-altering things happened to you?

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

That question is a line from a poem written by Mary Oliver.

And it’s a question that often circulate in my mind. So often I have an aching and yearning, I know not of what. Just for something more than what my life looks like now. But how are you supposed to mend that aching, urging, craving, without knowing the cure?

How is it that human beings always want their life to be extraordinary? To have meant something? Because I’m right to think that most human beings want that? Or is it just me that want that? I want my life to have meant something to other human beings. To our planet. To the future.

“When it’s over, I want to say: all my life
I was a bride married to amazement.
I was the bridegroom, taking the world into my arms.

When it is over, I don’t want to wonder
if I have made of my life something particular, and real.
I don’t want to find myself sighing and frightened,
or full of argument.

I don’t want to end up simply having visited this world.”
― Mary Oliver

Are you still there?

Why, yes, yes I am.

Can’t believe that almost a month has gone by since my last post. And why is it harder to write something the longer the time it takes? It somehow feels like a failure and I can’t for the life of me understand why we put such ridiculous pressure on ourselves. For things that honestly have no importance whatsoever.

Do you do that too? It doesn’t have to be regarding your writing but anything really.

I guess I’m saying STOP to myself. It may be that I write ten posts in a day or nothing for 4 months but will be my choice.

If you were given the ability to reform how your country’s leaders were chosen and how they serve, what would you change?

So, no secret, I absolutely hate today’s politicians. Instead of serving the people they only want to serve themselves. When did that happen? Or has it always been that way?

I think I would change the way our politicians are elected to be just like a lottery instead. If you got picked you have to serve for maybe four years and then after that time new persons are picked by a new lottery. I think that would eliminate corruption.

Of course this is not fool-proof way but I’m so sick of so-called “leaders” claiming to have the best interest for their people when all they think about is to fill their on pockets.

Do you ever feel like screaming out loud?

Do you ever feel like screaming out loud? Just because life is what it is? And you feel that you can hardly breathe?

And you want to get out of this meaningless existence but don’t have a clue how? And when even anti-anxiety pills don’t help on these days.. what do you do?

How can one find meaning in one’s life? If you don’t have any particular passions, then what’s left? Only emptiness? And is meant to go on like this? How can one avoid asking oneself what’s the point? Why go on?

How do you guys find joy in your life? And how often does that happen?

If animals could talk, which one would be the rudest?

Have you ever wondered if animals could talk like human beings, what they would talk about? And more precisely, which animal would be the rudest?

For me, three animals pops instantly into mind:

  1. Pigeons
  2. Cats
  3. Seagulls

Which one’s would you nominate? Do you agree or disagree?

If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be?

This is a hard one for me, because I really love the idea of time travel and my favourite show is Doctor Who.

In general, I would love to be there at the beginning, when the universe was born to the birth of our planet and to the death of everything.

But I have thought of a few things, very few things, that I would have love to see in no particular order.

  • Gutenberg’s Printing press
  • Rosa Park
  • Ruby Bridges
  • Building of the pyramids
  • Katherine Switzer
  • The Globe during Shakespeare’s time
  • The Renaissance
  • The Persian, Greek, and Roman empire

What are some ot the events or moments you would have love to witness?
